Our Customer N____ K_____ reviews luggage after
3 years. Purchased 26" Upright Briggs Baseline Series
FREQUENCY OF USE: Maybe
two to four times per year, but not all pieces.
We do not travel much. We have
about 6 in the set and do not use each one too often. DISLIKE: No issues to date, but some of the features could be a bit easier to use regarding how we pack clothes. OVERALL RATING (1-5): From a 1 to 5, I would give them a 4.

Response from LondonLuggage.com We appreciate the review. We know that this will give potential customers a chance to see what to expect after several years of use. |
Our Customer A__ L_____ reviews luggage after
3 years. Purchased 26" Upright Briggs Baseline Series
FREQUENCY OF USE: I
use the suitcase at least twice a year, on my longer trips (over 7
days).
OVERALL RATING
(1-5): In a scale of 1 to 5 I would
rate this suitcase a strong 4 (4.5). |
Response from LondonLuggage.com We appreciate the strong review. A possible alternative (for those overly concerned regarding potential scuffing) we could suggest looking at Swiss Army Tourbach because they have a material that they have promoted as "a barrier that repels every kind of scuff and stain." |
Our Customer D____ M_____ reviews luggage after

London Luggage does a great job with
excellent customer service. We've made two other purchases of Briggs
and Riley bags since this purchase, both from LLS. |
Response from LondonLuggage.com Today's current 26 inch upright is 14.7 lbs. (bryu526nx) . In an exercise to reveal weight issues, our team loaded up the case with clothes and a couple pair of shoes and found that we were under the 50 lb limit. Remember these uprights have a feature inside that extend the wall of the case (when expanded) that make it much easier to pack. If this feature is not important then consider an even lighter version called superlights. Also Briggs makes a complete line of lighter weight series that is more sporty casual called Transcend Series.

Has not held up as well as
Dakota bag that was in roughly same price class. I would probably not
purchase Briggs & Riley again. |
Response from LondonLuggage.com We appreciate the candid review. We do not like to hear when a product does not meet or exceed someone's expectations. This is especially difficult because we recommend this particular product for its ruggedness.
The only
constructive response we could offer is to suggest looking at
Swiss Army Tourbach because they
have a material that they have promoted as "a barrier that repels every
kind of scuff and stain." |
Our Customer shares their story about the
Briggs Warranty Purchased Briggs in 2007
Hello my name is S----------
B-----, I bought a Briggs and Riley bags
from you last year and just wanted to tell you how much I love and
can't go with out it. about three weeks ago one of the wheels came
off and I remembered that when Toni sold me the bag she expressed
that it has a life time warranty so I found my papers called Briggs
and Riley spoke with a young lady named Margret. I explained my
problem regarding the wheel she gave me the option of taking the bag
to the store to get it fixed for free or sending me the wheels and I
can replace it myself. well I thought if I take it to the store it
may take to long to get it back so I choose to have the wheel sent
to me. now I was only without my bag 1 day before I called her.
after I called her she stated they will be shipped ups today. the
next evening I just couldn't wait any longer for my wheel so I took
the hammer and hit the little black thing back in. Yes now I was
able to use my bag until the wheel came but when the new wheels
arrived I couldn't take the old wheel off to put the new one on so
I'm still using my bag with the old wheel on but with the new wheels
in pocket. thank you so much for this bag it's so convenient and
hold every thing I need with room to spare and with all the books
plus my lap top, water ..etc. , inside it's still unbelievably light
compared to the old book bag type with the wheels on it. thank you
so much I really LOVE my bag. S---------

Response from LondonLuggage.com There is no doubt the Briggs and Riley Warranty is the best written warranty in the business. Remember (as it is stated in the Briggs warranty) that you may have to pay the shipping costs. However, that is far less out of pocket than the hundred dollars or more we have seen charged from repairs done on some other premium brands. |

Response from LondonLuggage.com The Briggs and Riley Baseline Series that was made in 2003 was heavier than the current Baseline models. Today's current 26 inch upright is 14.7 lbs. (bryu526nx) . In an exercise to reveal weight issues, our team loaded up the case with clothes and a couple pair of shoes and found that we were under the 50 lb limit.
